Hi! I am a Colombian biologist and a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Earth Sciences at Indiana University Indianapolis (IUI). Using tropical lakes as natural archives, I integrate geochemistry, micropaleontology, and sediment physical properties to understand how ecosystems and climate have changed through time across the Northern Neotropics.

I believe paleoclimate research has its greatest impact when shared with local communities. Supported by the ASLO Global Outreach Initiative, we designed an educational outreach program for elementary school educators in rural Colombian communities. My passion for outreach extends to mentoring, delivering public science talks, and engaging diverse audiences through podcasts and STEM programs to promote climate literacy and sustainable water management.
